Sr IT Infrastructure Engineer - Enterprise Database Platform Services - Remote

The Senior IT Systems Engineer designs, implements, and supports secure, highly available database and infrastructure environments. This role provides advanced hands-on DBA support, including SQL Monitor administration, DBA tasks, and participation in a rotational on-call DBA and monitoring rotation.

The role serves as a technical subject matter expert, translating architectural standards into scalable solutions while supporting critical production systems. Requires 5+ years of experience with AWS, PostgreSQL, and Microsoft SQL Server, along with hands-on experience creating, running, and maintaining infrastructure as code using Terraform to ensure reliable, secure, and compliant operations.

Responsibilities:

• Perform hands-on implementation, configuration, and support of database and infrastructure solutions
• Execute technical deliverables supporting key strategic initiatives
• Develop, test, and maintain logical designs based on architectural standards and reviews
• Collaborate closely with engineers and stakeholders to troubleshoot issues and implement solutions
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience; High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
• Proven experience communicating effectively to multiple subjects and audiences
• Experience with specific domain relevant to team
• 5 years of experience with infrastructure technologies - AWS, PostgreSQL, SQL Server and Terraform
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in environment with regulatory compliance requirements (HIPAA, PCI, etc.)
• Previous experience in PBM / health care industry
• Understanding of security implications of domain
• ITIL Foundations Certification
• Desire to work in management and lead others

Potential pay for this position ranges from $94,000.00 - $160,000.00 based on experience and skills.
