Coordinate with global procurement, site teams, and business units to provide supplier quality support for purchasing commodities, purchased finished goods (PFGs), and critical services. Develop and maintain productive relationships with suppliers and internal teams, including global procurement, supply chain, QA/RA, design, and manufacturing. Act as the primary contact to assigned global procurement, manufacturing sites, and business units (BU) to resolve supplier issues, new projects, and new acquisitions. Serve as a Subject Matter Expert in purchasing controls. Develop, coordinate, track, and review supplier quality agreements. Perform supplier facility compliance audits. Apply systematic problem-solving methodologies in identifying, prioritizing, communicating, and resolving quality issues. Lead the investigation, resolution, and prevention of supplied component nonconformances. Manage, review, and approve supplier change requests and partner with sustaining engineering, regulatory, and supply chain teams to develop and implement appropriate strategies to support qualification through the change approval process. Analyze data to identify recommend process improvement, reduce defects, and enhance supplier performance at both company and supplier facilities. Initiate and follow up on supplier corrective action request (SCARs) in partnership with impacted cross-functional groups to ensure complete and effective root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
