Velosity Brooklyn Park is searching for a Secondary Operations Technician to support our manufacturing facility in Brooklyn Park, MN. The Secondary Operations Technician is responsible for performing microblasting operations on precision parts produced by Swiss machining processes. This role involves handling delicate components, ensuring high-quality surface finishes, and maintaining strict adherence to specifications and quality standards. This is an on-site position. The typical pay range for this role: $20.00 - $28.00. This role is also eligible for our 5% quarterly bonus target. This pay range reflects the base hourly rate or annual salary for positions within this job grade, based on our market-based pay structures. Actual compensation will depend on factors such as skills, relevant experience, education, internal equity, business needs, and local market conditions. While the full range is shared for transparency, offers are rarely made at the minimum or maximum of the range. Essential Duties:

• Microblasting Operations: Operate microblasting equipment to clean, deburr, and finish precision parts.
• Quality Control: Inspect parts before and after microblasting to ensure they meet specified tolerances and quality standards.
• Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on microblasting equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including inspection results and equipment maintenance logs.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the Swiss machining team to coordinate workflow and ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED.
• Valid identification and the ability to work legally in the United States.
• Previous experience in a similar role or in a machining environment is often preferred.
• Proficiency in operating microblasting equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Physical & Mental Demands:

• Walking is required within the office/shop areas.
• Sitting, standing, turning the head and torso, reaching, grasping, bending and flexing the arms, legs, wrists, and fingers are physical requirements.
• Must have correctable eyesight and good depth perception.
• Must be able to sit for long periods of time.
• Must be able to walk, sit and occasionally climb and balance.
• Must be able to lift 30 pounds and move objects in a safe manner using proper equipment.
• Must have dexterity with hands.
• Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks and complete them within a timely manner (results oriented); Ability to make decisions with limited information.

Work Environment:

• This is a non-smoking, professional manufacturing shop with normal lighting and climate control.
• This position may require one to move throughout the shop and office and may be subject to airborne contaminants and chemical odors as would be customary in an injection molding/ Precision Machining shop.
• The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an individual encounters while performing the essential functions of this position.
• Protective Clothing Required: When in certain locations of the facility, eye and ear protection are required. Closed-toed/ Slip resistant shoes are also required in certain locations.
