Sales Support Specialist
Bongards' Creameries is seeking a dedicated, organized, and detail-oriented professional to join our team as the Sales Support Specialist at our Corporate Office in Chanhassen, MN. This role reports to the VP of Marketing and plays a key part in developing and executing sales and trade strategies with key customers in partnership with the sales organization. The position works cross-functionally with Field Sales, Marketing, R&D, Operations, Finance and other teams to ensure alignment with Bongards' overall go-to-market strategy. This position leads projects, delivers business analysis, manages components of the marketing plan, and coordinates a variety of sales and marketing initiatives to support business growth.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Bid and RFP Management: Leads coordination and completion of all RFPs and school bids.
- Pricing / Programs: Manages pricing and programs/promotions entered in Telus (Blacksmith) Forge - our Contract Management System. Includes standard pricelist, special pricing, and private label pricing. Programs include distribution programs, operator rebates, buying group programs, broker commissions and others.
- Customer Support: Leads coordination and completion of necessary customer paperwork, including new account and new product setup. Supports customer specific material development.
- Pricing Strategy: Supports analysis of costing and pricing to build pricing strategies and execute necessary pricing actions - including commercial pricelist and K12 bid pricing.
- Planning Process: Works closely with VP of Marketing and Sales team to provide input into the annual planning process and the development of the Sales and Marketing strategy
- Sales Execution Support & Analytics: Provides support in rolling out sales initiatives. Develops and executes sales execution tracking/KPIs. Supports sales reporting and analysis. Includes tracking and publishing new product launch results.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in any major (Marketing, Finance and/or Business preferred)
- 2-4 years of experience, preferably within the food manufacturing or CPG industry.
- Analytical background with prior trade program working knowledge preferred.
- Good project and time management skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and influencing skills are required in order to articulate programs and execute plans.
- Strong leadership capabilities and critical thinking skills.
- Strong organizational skills, good project and time management skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently, as part of a team, and as a team leader to meet organizational goals
Salary: $65,000-$85,000 annually
