Sales Representative

Join our team today – We are seeking a motivated Sales Representative to support continued growth within our MSP organization! Salary Range: $35,000 – $45,000 PLUS Commissions! Work Location: In person Job Type: Full-time As a Sales Representative at StarTech Computing, you will work closely with customers to grow and promote the sale of products and services offered by our company. The Sales Representative is the first line of contact with all new customers. The Sales Representative will establish and maintain long-term business relationships with new and current customer base. The Sales Representative will work regularly with other members of the sales team and colleagues from a range of departments, such as Marketing, Purchasing, and Engineering, as well as Senior Management and Leadership representatives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Generation & Prospecting: Identify and qualify potential clients through cold calling, digital outreach, referrals, and networking efforts.
  • Client Discovery & Engagement: Conduct initial consultations and discovery meetings to uncover business challenges and IT requirements.
  • Solution-Oriented Sales: Present and position customized IT service solutions, including managed services, cloud computing, cybersecurity, disaster recovery, and helpdesk support.
  • Sales Lifecycle Ownership: Manage the entire sales process from lead acquisition to contract signing, ensuring seamless handoff to onboarding and technical teams.
  • CRM & Pipeline Management: Maintain accurate and timely records of leads, communications, and sales activity in the CRM system (e.g., Connectwise Manage, Glasshive).
  • Collaboration: Partner with internal engineering, project, and support teams to deliver high-impact proposals and customer solutions.
  • Customer Communication: Liaison between customers and internal teams, effectively communicating opportunities, concerns, and feedback.
  • Client Advocacy: Understand customer needs, anticipate challenges, and recommend appropriate solutions to support long-term relationships.
  • Proposal & Presentation Development: Prepare and present professional proposals and technical sales presentations to key decision-makers.
  • Networking Engagement: Actively represent the company at networking events, marketing functions, Chamber meetings, and similar gatherings to enhance brand visibility and foster strategic relationships.
  • Market Research & Intelligence: Stay current on industry (ICP) trends, competitive offerings, and emerging technologies to better position company services.
  • Product Knowledge: Demonstrate expert knowledge of company products and services, including best practices in their use and implementation.
  • Internal Communication: Provide relevant customer and market feedback to internal departments to support strategic planning, decision-making, and company growth.
  • Customer Service Coordination: Collaborate with internal staff to ensure excellent customer service and successful project outcomes.
  • Submit sales status reports as required, including activity, closings, follow-up, and adherence to goals.
