We are seeking one Sales Manager to join our Northeast Regional Sales and Service Team to actively drive group business across five iconic northeast mountain resorts while embodying Vail Resorts' mission, values, and commitment to exceptional guest experiences.
This high-impact, revenue-driving position is based at Okemo Mountain in Ludlow, Vermont, and collaborates with a Sales and Service Team managing groups for Mount Snow, Stowe Mountain Resort, Mount Sunapee, Okemo, and Hunter Mountain as well. The role offers a blend of time dedicated both in-resort and working remotely to secure group business while collaborating closely with our resort teams in creating The Experience of a Lifetime for our guests.
We seek an individual who demonstrates agility and adaptability, takes initiative, and thrives as a team player. Must have exceptional communication and computer skills along with strong mountain business instincts (or knowledgeable about skiing/riding). Some travel will be required.

Starting Wage: $58,461.98 - $77,126.78

Develop and maintain productive business relationships with lodging partners and key bookings to increase group lines of business.
Solicit, close, and contract group business using strong negotiating skills and creative selling techniques.
Build and strengthen relationships with existing and new customers to enable future booking activities, including sales calls, entertainment, FAM trips, trade shows, etc.
Exceptional communication and computer skills.
Provide quick, timely responses and immediate communication to stakeholders and clients.
Provide customer intelligence in evaluating market economic trends, competitors' strengths and weaknesses, supply and demand, etc., and know-how to sell against them and may lead to changes in sales strategy to meet or exceed customer expectations.
Assist with coordinating and representation in sales missions, trade shows, and conferences.
Assist with product promotions and fulfillment
Attend internal stakeholder meetings to drive resource efficiency and report on business updates.
Other duties and support of other departments may be required.

College education is preferred
Proven success in a similar role and environment
Any combination of education and sales training may also be considered
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Work Excel, PowerPoint) and SharePoint
Experience within Delphi FDC is helpful (training will be provided to the right candidate)
Proficient in spoken and written English: (additional language requirements may apply to specific job segments)
Candidate must be located close to Okemo Mountain for in-resort expectations
Flexibility to travel as needed (transportation is the employee's responsibility.)
