Business owner of Revenue Cycle Systems, including third-party software and internally-developed systems. Uses experience and knowledge and works with field operations, field finance, and the SSC to identify opportunities for processing and reporting improvements and efficiencies. Acts as liaison with TMN IT and third-party system providers to ensure that revenue cycle system transactional processing and reporting requirements are met. Identifies and drives process improvements and efficiencies through automation and integration of systems.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential function listed below:
- Understands the company organizational structure and revenue cycle. Supports field finance, operations and SSC to facilitate implementation, upgrades, optimization and maintenance of systems that provide efficient and effective revenue capture, billing, collections and cash applications.
- Manages team that implements, maintains and provides support for revenue cycle systems.
- Current third-party systems include but are not limited to Avatar, Credible, Ratintree, Advisor and PCC AR and EHR systems, Alpha Collector, and Waystar Clearinghouse
- Current internally developed systems include but are not limited to iServe AR Workflow, SmartSheet workflows for Alpha Collector and Waystar, Cash Log and a transactional QA database.
- Facilitates the identification, development and implementation of revenue cycle automation.
- Facilitates the identification, development and implementation of revenue cycle system integration.
- Participates in the evaluation of software and makes recommendations for enhancements to existing software and/or implementation of new software
- Acts as liaison with third-party system providers and TMN IT.
- Stays abreast of third-party, system provider roadmaps and provides input based on TMN requirements and opportunities for additional automation and process improvements.
- Participates in RFP process for revenue system services, including definition of requirements and analysis of responses.
- Makes recommendations and creates business cases and models to support system upgrades and systems development and/or implementation.
- Identifies areas for system, reporting and process improvements. Leads and/or participates in approved projects.
- Recommends and implements report enhancements that improve the management of various aspects of the revenue cycle.
- Understands and ensures applicable internal controls are met.
- Participates in the development of revenue cycle system training materials and programs.
- Performs other related duties and activities as required.
Manages direct reports including performance evaluations, scheduling, orientation, and training. Makes decisions on employee hires, transfers, promotions, salary changes, discipline, terminations, and similar actions. Resolves employee problems within position responsibilities
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or abilities required to perform the job.
- Bachelor's degree in related field required, Master's preferred.
- Minimum 7 years revenue systems experience required
- Minimum 5 years management/supervisory experience required
- Experience in Health and Human Services industry preferred
- Experience working in a large, geographically distributed environment preferred
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Demonstrated aptitude towards problem identification, resolution and comprehension and interpretation of technical procedures
- Ability to think conceptually using creative, comparative and inductive reasoning to apply to existing concepts or to define new concepts
- Comfort with data requirements and related data activities
- Ability to work collaboratively with business, building and developing effective business relationships
- Broad technical awareness coupled with general business process design aptitude
- Possesses and stays abreast with knowledge about relevant software.
Sedentary work.
