Quality Engineer

We are seeking a dedicated Quality Engineer responsible for managing nonconformances, MRBs, RMAs, and customer complaints from investigation through closure. The ideal candidate will lead failure analysis, root cause investigations, and develop effective corrective and preventive actions to ensure quality standards are met.

Responsibilities

  • Own internal nonconformances, MRBs, RMAs, and customer complaints from investigation through closure.
  • Perform failure analysis and root cause investigations using structured methods such as 8D and 5 Whys.
  • Develop, implement, and verify effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Track, document, and report quality metrics and complaint trends.
  • Support AS9100 audits through accurate records and technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and suppliers to resolve quality issues and prevent recurrence.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma tools.
  • Provide inspection and production quality support as needed.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in quality engineering with a focus on CAPA and AS9100 standards.
  • Proficiency in handling precision-machined components.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Experience with CAPA, 8D, APQP, and standard quality tools.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, ERP systems, and SPC.
  • Hands-on experience with mechanical inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, and CMM.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering, Quality, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in aerospace manufacturing.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with customers and suppliers.

Work Environment

This position requires working onsite every day, engaging directly with team members and suppliers to maintain high-quality standards.

This is a Permanent position based out of Minneapolis, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $79000.00 - $96000.00/yr. Climate Controlled and super clean - 401k - PTO, Sick Leave - Average tenure is 10+ years - Life Insurance - Health, dental, vision, etc
