QA Engineer - Loan Origination Systems - Remote Eligible

Job Title

While this position is remote, this candidate must be located in MN to be able to come onsite for meetings.

This role supports a Loan Origination System (LOS). The team works primarily in Land Journey, but experience with any Loan Origination or Loan Servicing system is a strong fit. We're looking for someone who understands the end-to-end loan lifecycle—from underwriting to servicing to payments.

Responsibilities

-Participate on an Agile team as a Quality Engineering (QE) member

-Review and clarify requirements with business and technical teams

-Estimate testing effort and plan testing activities

-Create and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts

-Collaborate with developers and other QE team members

-Log, track, and validate defects through resolution

Support UAT and Go-Live activities

-Use test data management to identify and work with required data

-Lead testing discussions, summarize results, track metrics, and provide go/no-go recommendations

-Apply creative and efficient testing approaches in fast-paced timelines

Skills and Requirements

-Experience with Loan Origination or Loan Servicing systems

-Strong understanding of loan processes (underwriting, servicing, payments)

-5+ years of Quality Engineering / QA testing experience

-Hands-on experience with Playwright or Selenium automation frameworks

-Strong backend testing experience (APIs and databases)

-Ability to write and execute complex SQL queries

-Experience leading testing across multiple integrated systems

-Familiarity with Snowflake

-Experience using Azure DevOps or similar test management tools

-Experience using AI tools to support testing

-Strong written and verbal communication skills

-Comfortable working in a changing environment with minimal guidance

-Able to manage multiple initiatives at the same time
