Project Engineer
Lead the full lifecycle of technical projects relating to sheet metal manufacturing, including planning, execution, control, and closure, ensuring on-time delivery within scope and budget. Evaluate and improve manufacturing processes using lean principles and mechanical engineering fundamentals. Act as the primary liaison between design engineering and operations during new product launches. Oversee manufacturing readiness, process qualification, and production validation. Develop cost models, quotes, and process routings. Communicate pricing and delivery estimates to customers, ensuring competitive pricing and target gross margins. Work closely with planning, design, and operations teams to align product designs with efficient production methods. Collaborate with suppliers to determine specifications, acquire materials or tooling, and evaluate supplier quality. Estimate production times, staffing, and cost requirements. Use data to forecast and scale manufacturing operations as needed.
