Outside Services Staff

The Outside Services Staff provides golf bag, golf cart, and driving range assistance to guests of the property. Essential functions include maintaining a professional appearance, bringing carts from the cart shelter to the cart staging area outside the golf shop, greeting guests at designated bag drop area, loading bags onto carts, and unloading while cleaning clubs. The staff gives directions to guests for the golf shop, first tee, driving range, etc. They transport range balls to the driving range and fill appropriate containers, operate the range picker on the range to retrieve balls, and wash all range balls daily. They return carts to the cart shelter, wash carts, park carts in designated spaces, and connect charger cables. The staff implements and supports all course policies and programs as communicated by management and performs other duties as assigned.

Skills and knowledge requirements include being extremely organized, efficient, and detail-oriented. The staff must be highly motivated, goal-driven, and a self-starter with a good work ethic. They must have good communication and interpersonal skills, a friendly personality, and enjoy working with the public. They must be dependable, able to use equipment and tools properly and safely, and have a valid driver's license if driving golf carts or driving range equipment.

Physical and mental requirements include regularly reaching with arms and hands, walking, standing, talking or hearing, handling, feeling, or operating objects. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 30lbs occasionally and be required to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl occasionally. Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, and depth perception. Moderate exposure to extreme cold, heat, working outdoors, mechanical hazards, and electrical hazards. Exposure to pollens and dust. Noise level is moderately quiet. Ability to work extended hours during golf and holiday season. Ability to work weekends and holidays.

Equipment used includes golf carts and range pickers.
