Medical Assemblers/ R&D Catheter Assembler

Join our dynamic R&D team, where you will engage in the intricate assembly of catheters and other sub-assemblies. This role involves working under a microscope, utilizing small hand tools, and participating in various stages of production, including braiding, laser machine operation, and extrusion line work. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will ensure the successful completion and packaging of high-standard medical devices.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble catheters and sub-assemblies, working under a microscope.
  • Utilize small hand tools for precise assembly tasks.
  • Conduct visual inspections and ensure the final packaging of products.
  • Engage in short run builds and braiding operations.
  • Operate laser machines and work on extrusion lines.
  • Collaborate as part of a team to efficiently assemble parts.
  • Sort and organize materials on tables, racks, or bins.
  • Clean and package assembled parts in protective bags or boxes.
  • Verify raw materials and lot numbers for accuracy.
  • Maintain accurate records, including training and required paperwork.
  • Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the supervisor.
  • Adhere to safety and quality procedures, maintaining a clean work area.
  • Communicate operational status and any issues to management promptly.

Essential Skills

  • 2-3 years of experience in medical device assembly, specifically catheters.
  • Experience operating braiding and extrusion machines.
  • Proficiency in performing visual inspections and using assembly equipment.
  • Ability to read blueprints and work under a microscope.
  • Detail-oriented with the capability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in manufacturing environments.
  • Strong teamwork and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Work Environment

Our facility is modern and impeccably maintained, featuring a spacious break room and a welcoming, family-like atmosphere. The role is based in a clean room environment, requiring specific attire such as masks, gloves, hair nets, and smocks. Makeup and jewelry are not permitted. Work will vary between 10% to 50% microscope tasks on different days. The position follows a 1st shift schedule, from 5 AM to 1:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
