Lab Research Chemist/Physicist/Engineer IV

Volt is immediately hiring a Lab Research Chemist in Maplewood, MN with a well-known industry leader. The person hired for this position will assume leadership of technical programs of major importance to division interests involving scientific research/understanding, applied technology and process improvements. This is a full-time contingent opportunity As a Lab Research Chemist, you will:

• Be highly skilled and knowledgeable to the position and provide best practicing sharing within work group.
• Worker will maintain a flow of major technical contributions such as material/product/process innovations and understandings.
• Document and communicate these via Records of Invention, patents, internal reports, technical presentations and/or publications.
• Identify, plan, and complete technical programs leading to innovative applications and extensions of existing and new technologies.
• Establish extensive intra-divisional interactions and initiate inter-divisional interactions to develop a network of support.
• Document experimental data/observations in technical notebooks.

This is a full time contingent opportunity. The ideal candidate will have:

• Bachelor of science degree or higher from an accredited institution
• Lab Studies Strategic Planning Patents
• Preferred skills: Strong technical and/or mechanical background Hands-on, self-starter approach Excellent attention to detail Good written and oral communication skills Reliability and consistency

Pay Rate: $35.00-40.00 hr. *Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
