Responsibilities

This role serves as the Product Operations Lead for Mayo Clinic's Cloud Platforms, partnering closely with the Principal Product Manager for Cloud Services to ensure strategy, priorities, and leadership direction result in consistent, predictable execution across the cloud product portfolio (e.g., Azure, Google Cloud, AI/ML platforms, HPC, and shared cloud foundations).

The Product Operations Lead is accountable for the operational execution model of Cloud Services - not product ownership. This role enables delivery by establishing operating cadence, coordinating across product, engineering, architecture, operations, security, and finance teams, and maintaining leadership-ready product artifacts. The focus is on execution rigor, transparency, and follow-through within Mayo's Cloud Product Operating Model.

This role does not overlap with the Principal Product Manager.

The Principal Product Manager owns product strategy, roadmap direction, and stakeholder alignment. The Product Operations Lead owns execution mechanics, operational discipline, and cross-team coordination, ensuring decisions translate into clear plans, tracked commitments, and measurable outcomes. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with 5 years' demonstrated technical experience and 1 year of demonstrated leadership experience, or Associate's degree with 7 years' experience and 1 year of demonstrated leadership experience, or HS/GED with 9 years of experience and 1 years' of demonstrated leadership experience in a large, complex organization like Mayo Clinic may be considered in lieu of the degree. Demonstrated ability to work across multiple environments including cloud and on-premise, and multiple operating systems. Functional understanding of cloud ecosystem and leading-edge cloud emerging technologies. Working knowledge of the practical application of engineering and technology including applying principles, techniques, procedures, hardware and tools to the design and production of various products and services. Working knowledge of data center design best practices. Knowledge of and ability to apply DevOps principles and ways of working. Ability to develop and deliver requirements, concepts of operations, use cases, demonstrations, and presentations to both one-to-one and in small groups. Knowledge of approaches, tools, and techniques for anticipating, recognizing, managing, and resolving technical (hardware, software, application, or operational) problems. Ability to effectively communicate with and present to senior management and executive stakeholders (e.g., IT Leadership). Certification in cloud engineering is required.
