Under general supervision of the shop supervisor and guidance from Heavy Equipment Mechanics/Heavy Equipment Field Mechanics (HEM/HEFM), an employee in this class is developing technical skills in the repair and maintenance of MnDOT's heavy equipment. They are responsible for performing basic preventative maintenance, simple repairs, and assisting the HEM/HEFMs with major repairs when needed. This position is within our "GOO program", (Grow Our Own).
