This position will support a Minnesota Intensive Therapeutic Home (MITH) in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

MITH provides a unique alternative to institutional placement for children and adolescents with severe emotional disturbance (SED) and serious acting-out behaviors. Services are provided within the context of a family foster setting. Foster Parents are responsible for the care, supervision and support of one MITH foster child in their home by implementing and monitoring the treatment plan that has been developed for that child. Foster Parents are expected to follow program policies and direct any inquiries regarding the child, their treatment, or the child's family to the program staff.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must hold a current Child Foster Care License through the State of Minnesota
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Current and valid driver's license
  • Basic math skills
  • Clear communication skills
  • Basic computer skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with youth in an educational, childcare, residential, or mental health care setting.
