Beltrami County is creating an eligibility list for a full-time benefited Engineering Technician who will be hired at a level to be determined by the applicant's qualifications. Duties will include design and construction inspection of county road and bridge projects, including construction staking and material testing. Performs difficult skilled technical road work and infrastructure design, plan preparation, and construction inspection of county road and bridge projects. Collects and processes land survey data for construction, design, right of way, inventory and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the moderate supervision of the Engineering Operations Manager.

Applicants may qualify as a Senior Engineering Technician or a Engineering Technician dependent on education and experience: Senior Engineering Technician hiring range $33.88 to $37.02 per hour with a full range of $33.88 to $42.92 per hour. Engineering Technician hiring range is $30.16 to $32.95 per hour with a full range of $30.16 to $38.20 per hour.
