Engineering Technician

The Manufacturing Technician plays a critical role in supporting daily production operations while enhancing safety, quality, delivery, and cost efficiency. This position requires a strong sense of teamwork, excellent communication skills, and the ambition to advance into engineering-level responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  1. Perform setup, assembly, packaging, preparation operations, line clearance, and basic equipment maintenance according to approved documentation and QSR requirements.
  2. Assist Engineering and Maintenance teams with troubleshooting, routine maintenance, and minor equipment repairs.
  3. Complete accurate production and maintenance documentation.
  4. Participate in root cause investigations and support corrective and preventive actions.
  5. Collaborate with Engineers, Maintenance Technicians, Quality, and other team members to solve problems and implement improvements.
  6. Support continuous improvement initiatives such as 5S, A3s, OEE, and standard work, contributing to safety, quality, delivery, and cost projects.
  7. Assist with new equipment installation and validation.
  8. Maintain awareness of quality expectations and potential defects related to design, manufacturing, and testing.
  9. Exhibit professional behavior and strong interpersonal skills.
  10. Perform other duties as needed to support the business.

Essential Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • 3 years of experience in medical device or regulated manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Knowledge of FDA, ISO, and OSHA regulations.
  • Understanding of manufacturing systems, documentation compliance, inventory control, and scheduling.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and results-focused mindset.

Work Environment

The role operates on a shift schedule from 5 AM to 1:30 PM. The position involves working with various technologies and equipment in a regulated manufacturing environment. Employees are expected to adhere to high standards of quality and safety.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Minnetonka, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
