Engineer

System One is currently seeking an engineer on a 12 month contract position located in Minneapolis, MN.

Engineer responsibilities:

• Support hydro plant projects due to internal reorganization
• Will work on approximately 10 projects per year across 25 hydro facilities (primarily in WI one in MN)
• Develop bid/design specifications, coordinating projects from initiation through closeout, working with hydro plant management and contractors
• Travel required to hydro sites (seasonal: summer/fall for construction; winter/spring for design/closeout). Estimated travel 20-30%, mostly summer/fall

Engineer requirements:

• Engineering degree (Mechanical, Electrical Controls or Civil/Structural) from ABET-accredited university
• Valid drivers license
• Strong communication
• Ability to work independently
• Microsoft Office
• FE/EIT certification preferred
• PE license is a plus
• PMP certification or project management experience preferred
• SAP (work management) preferred
• Scheduling tools (Primavera P6 or MS Project) preferred
• Bluebeam experience preferred
• Minimum 2 years engineering experience
• Hydro or industrial experience strongly preferred
• Hydro familiarity (6+ months) is a plus
