PURPOSE/SCOPE: Engineering Director for Prototype, Validation, and PLM
The Director of Prototype, Validation, and PLM is responsible for the overall direction, management and process execution of Test Engineering, Prototype Development Lab (PDL), and Shared Engineering Services including Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools, processes, and professionals. This position will provide technical strategic roadmaps and drive the tactical implementations in the domains of PDL, Test Engineering, and Quality Control processes. This leader will lead the team to create test automation, refine process to boost efficiency, evaluate and introduce best fit tools and technologies into the organization. Work closely with global engineering leaders to define and drive the best fit strategies of lab, testing, and processes to support global product development. Proactively fine tune and adjust the strategy to reduce the cost and time. Candidates should have a continuous improvement and LEAN mindset for productivity and efficiency improvement. The total span of control for this Leader of Product Validation is roughly 40 employees and an annual spend of $5.5M, including facilities and equipment for metal fabrication, prototype development, and validation testing.

Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $151,000 - $241,700 Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. Tennant Co. reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualifications of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
