Performs intermediate design work by producing B.O.M's (Bill of Materials) and drawings for non-standard trailer orders. This position requires close supervision from the Design Supervisor.
Responsible to complete design, layout and drafting of Production Orders for certain particular groups of basic semi tank trailers and assemblies. Is a proficient AUTODESK Inventor software operator. Complete the structure of B.O.M's (Bill of Materials) so that all parts and assemblies are located in the right manufacturing areas. Has some knowledge of ASME and DOT codes and understands that these codes govern construction and that variations of design must be reviewed by an Engineer.
Considerable knowledge of design/layout drafting. MRP (Material Requirement Planning) concepts. Working knowledge of the AUTODESK Inventor. Minimum qualifications: Two years vocational drafting OR equivalent experience with CAD experience (6 month minimum experience).
