This position is eligible for telework for applicants who reside in Minnesota or in a bordering state, with supervisory approval and satisfactory performance. The purpose of this position is to lead the team of health care staff responsible for establishing rates based on the providers' incurred costs for providing services, hospital rate setting, managing payment policy for Tribal and Indian Health Service providers and systems design for the service coverage available to enrollees in Medical Assistance (MA) and MinnesotaCare (MNCare), as well as developing and maintaining the requirements and processes for supplemental payments made to various providers.
This position also represents the department's positions at various internal and external forums regarding rate setting policies, rates, and systems design, and provides collaborative leadership to various stakeholders including, but not limited to, enrollees, providers, other third-party payers, department management and staff and the legislature.

5 years of extensive experience and expertise articulating, interpreting, analyzing and presenting complex health care rates and data, particularly payments made to hospitals.
