Stearns County Community Corrections is an agency providing probation and parole services for adult and juvenile clients in the Seventh Judicial District. With oversight of a Community Corrections Supervisor, the position of Community Corrections Intern is responsible for assisting two agent mentors to assure public safety and facilitate positive change in client behavior.
Required Skills: Current student or recent graduate from an accredited college with a degree in Corrections, Criminal Justice, Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, or closely related degree. Undergraduates must be in their junior or senior year. Graduate students may apply at any time during their program. Students who have graduated within the last year are welcome to apply. Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.5 or higher. Ability to commit to 400 hours for the internship. Reliable means of transportation to travel to multiple locations around Stearns County, some of which may not be accessible by public transportation.
