This position plays a vital role in supporting the State of Minnesota by ensuring clean, safe, and environmentally sound buildings, grounds, and operations. It exists to supervise janitorial services and deliver consistent, high-quality results that support the health, safety, and productivity of state employees and the public. This position also carries the responsibility of responding to buildings under the custodial control of the Facilities Management Division during emergencies that require immediate janitorial services to minimize damage and reduce the risk of tenant displacement. In addition, this role provides agencies with workplace safety coordination and consulting services, including safety management system development, hazard identification and evaluation, accident investigation, safety and health loss report evaluation, safety committee development, and safety training in alignment with the department's Workplace Expectations.
