Assemblers

All shift available. $25/hr.

As an assembler, you will play a crucial role in the production process by taking fiber cables, measuring, cutting, and placing them in clips. You will follow blueprints or work instructions to feed each colored wire through a connector. Precision is key, as the wires are small and must be fed in the correct order. Once the wires are in place, you will apply a small drop of epoxy, pulling the wires through to ensure a complete coating covers the surface. The assembly will then be placed in a curing device to dry the epoxy, followed by a polishing stage and testing to ensure proper connections.

Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, and place fiber cables in clips.
• Follow blueprints or work instructions to assemble components.
• Feed colored wires through connectors with precision.
• Apply epoxy and complete the coating of wires.
• Use curing devices for drying and finalize with polishing.
• Test assemblies to ensure proper functioning.

Essential Skills

• 6 months to 1+ year of manufacturing experience in small parts or medical device assembly.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to differentiate colors accurately.
• Experience with microscopes or willingness to work under one.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with guidewire, hand tools, and microscope assembly.
• Familiarity with clean room assembly, blueprints, and medical assembly processes.
• Knowledge in production, electronics, and catheter assembly.

Work Environment

Work in a newly renovated, state-of-the-art facility that is continually improving. As part of a new division, expect a dynamic environment with opportunities for growth and process improvement. The clean room environment does not require special dress, allowing for business casual attire. Wear a smock over your clothing, with optional gloves and safety glasses provided. Enjoy a 1st shift schedule, Monday through Thursday from 5:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with potential overtime on Fridays.

This is a contract to hire position based out of Oakdale, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.76/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
