Senior Data Engineer

We're looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our team and help power the data behind our games. This role is all about building reliable, scalable data solutions that enable teams across Product, Marketing and Game Development to make smarter, faster decisions. You'll take ownership of end-to-end data pipelines and models, working with modern cloud technologies to deliver high-quality, well-structured data products. Along the way, you'll also play a key role in improving how we work as a team, mentoring others and contributing to the evolution of our data platform.

What will you be doing at Miniclip?

• Designing, building and maintaining robust batch and streaming data pipelines for player, product and monetisation data
• Developing scalable, analytics-ready data models with clear structure, ownership and documentation
• Writing clean, production-level code using SQL and languages like Python, Scala or Java, with strong testing and deployment practices
• Managing and improving orchestration, CI/CD and infrastructure using tools like Airflow, GitHub Actions and Terraform
• Ensuring data quality, reliability and cost efficiency through monitoring, optimisation and continuous improvement
• Partnering with Product Managers, Analysts and Data Scientists to deliver impactful, data-driven solutions
• Ensuring data governance, privacy and security best practices are applied across all data workflows
• Mentoring other engineers and sharing best practices to strengthen the wider data community

What are we looking for?

• Strong experience in Data Engineering, ideally 5+ years working with cloud-based data platforms
• Proven ability to design and build scalable data pipelines using SQL, Python and distributed processing tools like Spark
• Hands-on experience with orchestration, CI/CD and infrastructure as code
• Solid understanding of data modelling, data quality and performance optimisation at scale
• Comfortable working in cross-functional teams and translating business needs into technical solutions
• Experience mentoring other engineers and contributing to team growth
• Passion for data, problem-solving and building systems that make a real impact
