Milestone Technologies Inc. is currently hiring for a Transportation (Vessel) Operations Support Specialist in the Long Beach, CA area.
This role will be fulltime 8am - 5pm PST, onsite in Long Beach.
General IT Ops with focus on Vessel
Support ABB and remote table protocols for STS Cranes
Support ABB OCR system
Support and test Navis' N4 & XPS software
Nice to Have:
Minimum 3 years of operations experience in shipping or transportation (Vessel)
Must be familiar with maritime business knowledge
Ability to upgrade software based upon instructions provided by Software Vendor operational manual and complete tasks within designated timeframe
Managing work using Help Desk Tickets (Jira Service Desk)
Understand overall vessel operations processes to support EDI and billing issues
Understanding of inventory management principles and global logistics practices
Ability to navigate Splunk Monitoring Dashboard to review possible issues. Knowledge of Splunk query is a plus
Ability to review and update relevant Documentation using Confluence
Must have experience with Microsoft 365 (including TEAMS)
Familiar with setting up emulations for staging (running scripts, clearing baselines, etc.) is a plus!
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, including the ability to follow a detailed
Estimated Pay Range: The estimated pay range for this position is USD $80,000/Yr. - USD $95,000/Yr. This is an exempt role. Exact compensation and offers of employment are dependent on circumstances of each case and will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, licenses or certifications, and location.
