International Student & Scholar Services Graduate Assistant (AY 25 - 26 C91335)

ISSS Graduate Assistant

Based in Monterey yet working with the International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) cross-institutional team in Monterey and Vermont, the ISSS Graduate Assistant assists the office staff with a variety of projects, activities, and routine tasks to support Middlebury's international community and colleagues who work with our international students and scholars. This position interacts with students, staff, faculty, and community members.

This position is compensated at the Level A rate on the MIIS student wage scale: $16.50 - $17.00 per hour.

Core Responsibilities:

• Function as knowledgeable and helpful front line of support for office staff and our clientele.
• Assist with data and record management to fulfill ISSS recordkeeping and compliance obligations.
• Provide ISSS programming support such as event planning, promotion, and implementation; writing announcement emails; supporting ISSS or MIIS initiatives; etc.
• Research and develop ways to help ISSS evaluate our programming, including online feedback surveys.
• Assist with tasks related to web updates, including content development and posting.
• Represent the ISSS office at select meetings to provide perspective and serve as an advocate for the needs of international students and our broader international community.
• Other duties as assigned.
