Join the Microsoft Capacity Infrastructure Services team in Azure Core to help build and maintain the infrastructure behind one of the world’s largest distributed computing platforms. This team is responsible for capacity buildout—bringing new servers online to support Azure customers with scalable, reliable access to the latest offerings. The work ensures customers experience seamless growth and the illusion of infinite capacity, while enabling Microsoft to expand its cloud business efficiently at hyperscale.
As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will collaborate with a wide range of partners across Microsoft, including software developers, hardware engineers, datacenter technicians, supply chain managers, and business leaders. Your role will focus on rapidly diagnosing and resolving issues that delay the buildout process. You will also lead continuous improvement efforts through design reviews and problem management to address recurring issues across the Azure software stack.
This position offers a unique opportunity to gain deep, system-wide knowledge of how the Azure cloud is built and maintained. You will engage with experts across services and technologies, automate tactical mitigations, and analyze data to identify and prioritize problem areas. The role supports remote work up to 100 percent of the time and requires flexibility to collaborate virtually with global partners.
