The M365 Copilot App Platform team provides the platform APIs, infrastructure, and backend services for the Microsoft 365 Copilot app. Partner teams have built their AI-enabled experiences on our platform and depend on us for their success. We own the full technology stack - including application code, platform APIs, deployment pipelines, infrastructure, backend web server, and middle-tier services - supporting the app across web, Windows, and Mac environments.
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Principal Software Engineer to join our middle-tier service team within the M365 Copilot App Platform team. As a Principal Software Engineer, you will design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and reliable services that power AI-enabled experiences in Microsoft 365 Copilot across platforms. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced agile environment to drive innovation and improve performance and quality. This opportunity will allow you to deepen your expertise in service infrastructure, automation, and operational excellence while contributing to a product that is central to Microsoft’s strategy in the AI space.
