Intern - Procurement Operations

Micron's US Site Procurement Operations team is seeking a high-performing intern to support procurement activities across Boise factories. This role offers exposure to factory startup readiness, supplier engagement, and digital transformation initiatives. The intern will work closely with cross-functional teams and gain hands-on experience in capital procurement, supplier management, and process optimization.

This role is part of a strategic pipeline for future full-time hiring.

Responsibilities

  • Own one or more factory areas to procure capital equipment and materials
  • Manage tactical stakeholder and supplier relationships
  • Support supplier contract management and negotiation
  • Contribute to business process improvements
  • Lead digital transformation efforts using AI tools to improve work efficiency

Minimum Requirements

  • Pursuing B.S., and majoring in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Operations, Engineering, Business, or related field
  • Ideally candidate is a Junior or Senior in college
  • Minimum GPA of 3.5
  • Candidate must be available to start in June 2026, and work 40 hours per week through the end of Calendar year 2026
  • Demonstrated interest in digital transformation, AI, and automation as it applies to procurement
  • Must be a current full-time student, and not graduate prior to December 2026.

Preferred Requirements

  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and basic data and Microsoft tools
  • Meticulous with strong organizational skills
  • Prior internship or experience in supply chain or procurement preferred
