Responsibilities and Tasks

Join our IE Modeling team at Micron and be a key player in driving our success in the semiconductor industry. You will give to daring projects that push technology and innovation boundaries.

• Apply industrial engineering concepts to model capacity thresholds, ensuring detailed support for both existing and future technologies.
• Lead capacity modeling projects, coordinating efforts across different departments and sites to achieve outstanding production metrics.
• Collaborate with site industrial engineering teams to continuously improve production capabilities and optimize capacity.
• Work closely with ATE and Satellite-Team to plan for future product capacity requirements and evaluate their impact on capital investments.
• Collaborate with ME, HR, and HVM-Planning teams to bridge the "Plan-To-Performance gap" (P2P gap) by providing comprehensive feedback and thoughtful planning.

Capacity Modeling

As part of the capacity modeling team, you will be responsible for developing extraordinary models to meet our fab output requirements. Your role will involve:

• Developing models that accurately reflect fab output capabilities, ensuring they meet the exacting requirements of our production goals.
• Understanding and facilitating the conversion process for future technology node transitions from existing nodes.
• Judging capital demands and identifying fractional impacts during studies, ensuring all aspects are covered.
• Verifying capacity modeling accuracy to avoid any surprises after the IE bottom-up estimation process.
• Applying statistical data analysis tools to analyze raw data, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.

Strategy Optimization

In this role, you will excel at optimizing strategies to ensure the best use of resources and capital. Your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting capacity analysis and proposing capital optimization plans to build up our production capabilities.
• Understanding the impact of output changes on the Fab through detailed wafer projections.
• Finding opportunities to minimize capital expenditure while determining the efficient timing for required capital analysis.
• Making data-driven decisions and providing recommendations to customer groups using advanced decision analysis tools.

Data Analysis

• Understand Micron data structure and be able to manipulate and retrieve data effectively using Structured Query Language.
• Understand relational database models and normalization. Be able to build representations of complex real-world data structures.
• Analyze raw data through statistical data analysis tools.
• Make data-driven decisions and recommendations to customer groups through decision analysis tools.

Benchmarking

• Work with MCT and partner Fabs to understand and close the gaps in workstation performance to meet internal benchmark levels.
• Share scenario changes with areas and involve collaborators in the strategic decision-making process.
• Understand individual area's Entitled Cycle Time (ECT) and CAU numbers for a given scenario.
