Providing software quality assistance to the Software Team for a complex military combat vehicle software-based system. Essential functions include: learning and understanding the essential needs of the Software Group and improving processes and procedures, reviewing and assisting in maturing the software process development over the lifecycle, participating in reviews of CDRLs, software development, and software verification activities, participating in standup and planning meetings, supporting the internal release processes as well as the government DevSecOps release process, ensuring software development processes are followed throughout the lifecycle, knowledge of programming languages (C/C++, JAVA) and Linux real-time operating systems, good understanding of software project planning, scheduling, and software lifecycle development tools (Jira, Confluence, GitLab etc.), managing change control board, ability to use Jira for data mining to produce quality reports and audits, analyzing quality data and generating comprehensive reports on quality metrics for management, identifying areas for process and product improvement based on quality metrics, and conducting (assisting) regular audits of processes and projects to ensure compliance with GOV, MIL standards.

Education: bachelor of science in electrical, computer engineering, or computer science. Experience: 5+ years' experience as a software engineer or software quality assurance, experience with waterfall and agile process using Jira, practical 'hands on' attitude with the ability to operate independently, experience of working in a multi-national, multi-organizational and corporate environment, experience in a highly regulated industry.
Background prerequisites: must undergo and meet company standards for background check, employment verification, reference checks, and controlled substance testing. All employment at ARV is contingent upon the ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance if the position requires it.
Preferred qualifications: ability to speak German desired, CMMI certification or ASPICE provisional auditor.
