Duties:
- Monitors and reports daily jail population data to ensure compliance with the Jail Population Management Plan.
- Collects, analyzes, and maintains inmate population statistics, prepares daily jail counts and projected release reports, and submits required data for monthly and annual reporting.
- Processes billing and reimbursement for MDOC detainees, parole violators, and other agency holds, including staff wage reimbursements for hospital guard duty.
- Coordinates and conducts the weekly sheriff's foreclosure auction, including public notices, communication with attorneys, and related documentation.
- Completes background investigations for prospective Sheriff's Office employees and reviews tether accounts for negative balances, requesting payment or forwarding to collections when necessary.
- Communicates with MDOC and parole agents regarding detainers and attends Community Corrections meetings as assigned.

Education and Experience:
- Associate degree in criminal justice or a related field and two years of criminal justice related experience; OR
- High school diploma or GED and four years of criminal justice related experience.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Knowledge of the criminal justice system, data collection methods, and automated information systems.
- Proficient in personal computer applications.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to use tact and diplomacy.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Able to analyze situations, solve problems, and follow direction with minimal supervision.
