Responsible for conducting a variety of engineering studies and analysis to implement plans and activities concerned with development, application, and maintenance of quality standards for products; establish quality procedures and standards; support the improvement and maintenance of customer satisfaction by collaborating with customers and production facilities to improve overall product quality; establish strong customer relationships to obtain customer quality concerns and issues, and ensure dissemination of concerns to appropriate departments and facilities to reach prompt resolution; serve as a customer representative, ensuring that customer quality engineering requirements are addressed, including selection of special characteristics, setting quality objectives and related timing, corrective and preventive actions, and product design and development; design and develop forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data; develop and implement methods and procedures for disposition of discrepant material, as well as assess cost and responsibility; support the measuring and testing of products and tabulating data, concerning materials, product, and process quality and reliability; utilize and apply knowledge of Six Sigma methodologies, Primavera P6, PPAP, APQP, FEMA, GD&T, 5S, 8D, TS 16949, IATF, Quality Requirement standards, Color and Grain approvals, Capability studies, SPC, Gage R&R, Gage RFQ's, and Dimensional Studies to perform assigned duties; develop and initiate engineering standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation of products; maintain records of customer quality concerns and corrective actions; serve as the main point-of-contact to customers regarding technical matters; and work, plan, and monitor quality engineering activities on a weekly and monthly basis.
