Senior Product Development Engineer

Product design and functionality for all products that are implemented in the North American market. Developing specific solutions together with customer design engineering and in accordance with Account Managers. Working together with internal & external partners on new product designs; actively participate in customer meetings and suggesting solutions that will benefit both the customer and Hirschmann Automotive. Creating and reworking internal engineering drawings and customer specific drawings. Creating 3D models (CAD data). Preparing Design Verification Plans and actively supporting and communicating with the laboratory and customer. Performing feasibility analyses. Conducting work-flow management using Cenit Connect. Steering the SPP process. Creating BOMs, drawings and assuring correct master data in SAP. Creating tolerance calculations and defining tolerances. Reviewing, analyzing and rating customer specific requirements and norms. Supporting Product Management with technical information. Reviewing Market Trends and calculating new business opportunities. Supporting the Quality Department. Preparing technical customer presentations and supporting Account Managers in product presentations. Qualified candidates will possess a Master's Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or closely related field + 1 year of experience as a Development Engineer or any related position in engineering design. Must have one year of experience in product design, CAD, BOM preparation, creating and defining tolerances. Telecommuting permitted, work may occur from anywhere in the U.S.
