A day in the life includes assisting customers with a variety of transactions through a seamless and friendly experience, demonstrating expertise in all technologies used in the store environment, and inspiring trust, teamwork, and positive team relationships. You must also be able to defuse customer situations and provide resolution in a timely and effective manner, ensuring the security and privacy of customer information through education, compliance, and resolution of issues. Additionally, you should motivate and inspire others to adopt initiatives such as our Nordstrom Rewards program. The hours and schedule for this position will vary by week depending on business needs.

You own this if you have the ability to effectively build relationships with your customers, peers, and leadership. Proficiency in multiple operating systems such as MS Windows, iOS, and Android is required. Clear, effective communication with strong interpersonal skills is essential. You must also have the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, accountability, initiative, and a high level of ownership. Flexibility to work a schedule based on department needs is also necessary.

Physical requirements include continuous movement for 6-8 hours per shift, which includes frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, and reaching in order to handle merchandise and assist customers. Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling is required. You should also be able to handle bulky and sometimes awkwardly shaped items, which includes reaching for and lifting these items above the head. Regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.

Pay ranges may be different for other locations. Pay offers are dependent on the location, as well as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. $17.75 - $18.45 Hourly.
