Lead development of engineering technologies for automotive brake and suspension systems. Develop the chassis design systems and mechanical technologies. Work at customer technical center to support company engineering and business interests. Communicate ideas, plans, and results effectively via presentations and written reports. Work effectively with peers, management, operations groups, personnel, and outside organizations. Maintain state of the art knowledge in air suspension systems. Maintain state of the art knowledge in controlled damper suspension systems. Participate in simultaneous engineering and design for manufacturing activities. Participate in the development of systems and technologies.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor -- Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field of study; will accept equivalent foreign degree.
Experience: Three (3) years as a Variable Suspension Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, in the position above, or in a related engineering role. Experience must include:
Location: 12501 Grand River Ave., Brighton, Michigan 48116. Up to 80% travel required to support final assembly plants, supplier sites, testing labs, and manufacturing locations in Michigan, Texas, and Mexico.
