Quality Engineer

We seek a dedicated Quality Engineer to lead the development of DFMEA, PFMEA, Quality Plan, and Control Plan. This role requires interfacing with our customer, the manufacturing contractor, and our internal team to ensure successful implementation. The ideal candidate will possess a strong experience in quality management as they will be required to navigate complex scenarios and challenge their knowledge in interactions with multiple parties. Responsibilities include:

• Leading the development of DFMEA, PFMEA, Quality Plan, and Control Plan.
• Interfacing effectively with customers, manufacturing contractors, and internal teams.
• Being a subject matter expert in quality management areas.
• Communicating effectively, especially in customer-facing scenarios.
• Mitigating risks proactively and independently.
• Providing solutions even with limited information.

Essential skills include:

• Strong experience in quality control and management systems.
• Expertise in DFMEA and PFMEA.
• Proficiency in developing and implementing Control Plans.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Additional skills and qualifications include:

• Experience in supplier quality management.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Comfortable working in the defense sector with sensitive materials.

The position is based in an office environment within a family-owned business that is expanding within the defense sector. The company culture values strong communication and a good fit with the team. It is crucial for team members to be comfortable working with materials that may be utilized in defense applications.

Job type and location: This is a contract position based out of Auburn Hills, MI.

Pay and benefits: The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
