Product Engineering Supervisor

Our client is seeking a Product Engineering Supervisor. This is an on-site, direct-hire opportunity.
Summary:
Supervise and lead an engineering group to complete new product design specifications, new product development programs, documentation of engineering programs, application engineering, and quality improvement efforts.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop new Robroy products utilizing the NPD Processor.
- Develop, maintain, and adhere to product design specifications.
- Serve as a representative of the company at trade association meetings to promote the product.
- Modify tracking and cost estimations, coordinate accurate and timely responses to customers as needed to ensure sales effectiveness with standard and modified products, and resolve questions from key customer decision makers, contract engineers, specifiers, and contractors.
- Complete product design and routine test programs.
- Bill of material maintenance.
- Interface with Sales, Marketing, and Production in activities such as sales promotions, training, market research, planning, and executing special projects.
- Aid other departments within the organization to prepare manuals and technical publications.
- Provide technical support to product end users.
- Prepare engineering drawings for review and completeness to the end user.
- Document processes and procedures and train and cross-train the appropriate individuals.
- Research new product development.
- Execute and ensure conformance/certifications for the market specification entitles and key trade organizations such as: UL, CSA, IEC, etc.
- Develop, mentor, and train the engineering team to develop capabilities aligned with organizational needs and growth objectives to include submitting proposals (Capital Requests) for new tools or related items.
- Utilize high-level design, analysis, and product, market, and application knowledge to ensure proper evaluation of concepts.
Required Education/Experience/Skills:
Degree in Engineering or related technical field.
4+ Years of Previous Experience in Plant and Operations Engineering
Quality Control / Statistics
ISO Knowledge / Experience
Proficient Verbal and Written English Communication Skills
Microsoft Office Proficient
Auto CAD / CAD Software 2D Minimum, Preferred 3D Autodesk Inventor
Preferred:
Familiarity with MRPII
Knowledge of Composite Materials
