Provides prompt and courteous assistance to the Radiologists and all internal and external customers, following the Radiology Gold Service standards.

Work closely with Technologists, Clerical Staff, and Radiologists to coordinate and facilitate timely availability of images for interpretation and communication of results to referring physicians and departments across the health system.

Identify and make recommendations for improvements in processes and procedures. Responsible for follow through and closure of patient care related requests. Communicate with technical support teams to report issues and correct reporting and study errors.

Upload outside exams into Radiology systems. Process requests to send Radiology records to patients and outside hospitals. Perform a variety of clerical duties such as work processing, answering phone calls, emails, and preparing paperwork as necessary.

High school diploma or equivalent. Excellent attendance. Ability to multitask. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Knowledge of health system policies and procedures. Knowledge of Sectra, EPIC, and Life Image.

Monday-Friday 10am-6pm (40 hours each week). Work Locations UH. Onsite.

This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the U-M and the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), which contains and settles all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours, and other terms and conditions of employment.

Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings. Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses.

Job openings are posted for a minimum of seven calendar days. The review and selection process may begin as early as the eighth day after posting. This opening may be removed from posting boards and filled anytime after the minimum posting period has ended.
