Patient Care Monitor

General summary: Performs basic patient monitoring activities under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). Responsibilities include remaining at bedside of assigned patient at all times unless relieved by an appropriate staff member, assisting in calming and/or reorienting patient in cases of agitation or confusion, removing visible hazards and/or broken equipment from immediate environment and reporting as appropriate, and recording all observations.

Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Certification specializing in Crisis Prevention preferred. Education: High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
