Tractor-Trailer Driver

The tractor-trailer driver will safely and efficiently drive a tanker, straight-truck, box truck, or other appropriate vehicle to transport non-hazardous and hazardous (with proper licensing) liquid waste water to various customer locations in a timely and professional manner. Job Summary

The tractor-trailer driver will safely and efficiently drive a tanker, straight-truck, box truck, or other appropriate vehicle to transport non-hazardous and hazardous (with proper licensing) liquid waste water to various customer locations in a timely and professional manner.

Job Description

• Operate a commercial motor vehicle (CMV) according to DOT regulations
• Utilize assigned route while obeying all traffic laws and safety regulations
• Maneuver CMV into loading and unloading areas
• Assist with loading and unloading of products, using specialized equipment when warranted, and returns all equipment to designated area
• Maintain signed invoices, bills of lading, and other required paperwork; deliver documentation to dispatch when work orders are complete
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and reports maintenance malfunctions to the fleet manager and dispatch
• Other duties as assigned

Work Environment

Overtime as required, occasional weekends and holidays Rotating On-Call Most CDL drivers have daily routes and are home nightly Located in Byron Center, MI Full-time position

Requirements

• Valid Commercial Driver's License Class A with a clean driving record
• Tanker and hazmat endorsements required
• Must pass background checks and pre-employment drug screen, as required by law
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers
• Ability to handle prolonged periods of sitting in a cab
• Ability to remain focused in busy environments
• Must be able to lift and move up to 40 pounds
