Nurse Technician Opportunity At Corewell Health Zeeland Hospital

The Surgery Department at Corewell Health Zeeland Hospital has three operating rooms, two endo suites, a c-section room, and supports various services including manometry and bronchoscopy. It is the busiest regional site performing roughly 200 more procedures than other top performing regional sites monthly. We see a variety of cases including multi-specialty, ortho, general OB/GYN, urology, dentistry, Ear Nose and Throat, and bariatric.

Nurse Technicians act as a team member in the delivery of quality patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). Responsibilities include taking vitals, checking blood sugars, bed bathing, ambulating, wound care, catheterization, and acting as a safety attendant for patients. Cleans patient's environment/work area/equipment and communicates any equipment malfunctions to appropriate department/unit personnel. Demonstrates a high standard of moral and ethical behavior. Advocates for privacy, confidentiality, and security of patient, staff, and organization data.

Qualifications: Required High School Diploma or equivalent. Basic Life Support (BLS) Cert required within 90 days.
