Engineer, design, evaluate, test, release 3D models and 2D drawings, and improve electromagnetic transformer and inductor systems including auto, isolation, rectifier, potential, current, and high frequency transformers; and AC load simulating, air core, DC filter, DC load simulating, reactor, and EMC test inductors and components including coils, brackets, side clamps, using SolidWorks 3D and Medusa4 2D/3D CAD tools, for utilities and commercial building customers. Engineer and design copper and aluminum windings specifications specifying wire types and dimensions. Design and determine insulation classes to prevent electromechanical breakdown and improve transformer and inductor product durability. Perform wire harness schematic design using SolidWorks and Capital ElectraX 2D CAD tools. Bachelor, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or related. Six months' experience as engineer, design engineer, or related, designing electromagnetic, electromechanical, or mechatronic assemblies or systems using SolidWorks 3D CAD, and designing copper and aluminum windings or busbars specifying dimensions, or related.
