Engineering Technician III

The Engineering Technician III will function as a key technical support resource within Manufacturing Engineering, with a primary focus on supporting Industrial Engineering activities. This role plays a critical part in enabling manufacturing efficiency, data accuracy, and continuous improvement by supporting time studies, standard work development, layout updates, and manufacturing system data maintenance. The Engineering Technician III works under limited supervision and partners closely with Senior Industrial Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers, and Operations Excellence (Opex) to support labor analysis, process improvements, layout updates, and operational readiness activities across the site.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Provides technical support to engineers to achieve improvements in cycle-time, yield, unit cost, quality, safety and compliance of production and operations processes and products.
  • Monitors instruments and equipment and collects operating data, including calibration, inspection, testing and repair activities, to assist in making on-line adjustments to instruments, equipment, or products.
  • Analyzes and resolves malfunctions and deviations of instruments and control systems to identify and resolve problems.
  • Conducts, analyses and prepares reports using metrics from salvage tracking, trending, reporting and root-cause analyses.
  • Maintains process designs to optimize process, equipment and facility use while conforming to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • Requires minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Requires high school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Knowledge and Experience:

  • Prior experience conducting time studies and labor observations in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working with manufacturing data, reports, and metrics
  • CAD experience (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar) for layout and workstation design
  • Power BI developing experience.
  • Familiarity with standard work documentation and labor modeling
  • Experience supporting layout optimization or space utilization projects
  • Exposure to Lean, MPS, or Operational Excellence initiatives

PR) locations (USD):$58,000.00 - $87,000.00 This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Operations Incentive Plan (OIP). The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others). The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).
