Lead Service Technician

We are seeking a dedicated Lead Service Technician to oversee project builds and installations of industrial equipment across the country. You will be responsible for leading and managing the installation team, including both internal and subcontracted technicians. This role involves traveling to client sites and ensuring all activities from Customer Bid to Build and Installation are executed with precision and excellence.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee a team of 3-6 technicians during project installations.
• Build and install highly automated manufacturing equipment onsite at customer locations.
• Coordinate with the Assembly Manager to ensure project priorities, resource needs, and timelines are met.
• Maintain clear and professional communication with clients, providing updates and addressing inquiries.
• Mentor and guide team members to encourage continuous skill development and commitment to excellence.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and program control systems for custom automation projects.
• Take ownership of project assignments, ensuring efficient and successful completion.
• Build, troubleshoot, and commission custom automation systems to meet project specifications and safety standards.
• Install wire trays and conduits, troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical components, and read mechanical/pneumatic drawings and electrical schematics.

Essential Skills

4+ years of experience in industrial automation assembly with demonstrated leadership experience. Strong technical expertise in building panels, machines, and systems using schematics and mechanical drawings. Experience with installing wire trays and conduits, and troubleshooting electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical components. Ability to read and understand mechanical/pneumatic drawings and electrical schematics. Experience in machine and panel building, conduit installation, and VFD/480V motor systems. Willingness to travel up to 30% domestically and internationally. Valid driver's license.

Detail-oriented with excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to lead and mentor a team, fostering collaboration and driving performance.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100,000.00 - $150,000.00/yr. Top-of-the-line healthcare plan, including vision and dental. Investment plan (401k) with 4% match. Life insurance.
