Insurance Customer Service Representative

Salary: $17/hour (Bilingual in Spanish: $18.50/hour) Training Start Date: September 29, 2025 Schedule: 10:30 am - 7:00 pm, Monday - Friday

Responsibilities:

  • Handle approximately 35-45 inbound calls per day, averaging 11-14 minutes per call
  • Answer insurance servicing questions from borrowers, insurance agents, and financial institutions
  • Address inquiries related to homeowners insurance, focusing on payment and coverage questions
  • Multi-task across various systems to research and document phone calls accurately
  • Respond promptly and accurately to meet internal and external standards consistently
  • Demonstrate problem-solving skills and resolve issues professionally

Qualifications: Must Have:

  • At least 1 year of recent customer service experience (call center experience preferred)
  • Proficient in using a Windows PC and navigating software systems
  • Typing speed of at least 35 WPM
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Reliable internet connection for remote training and work
  • Reliable transportation

Nice to Have:

  • 2+ years of call center experience
  • Background in insurance or mortgage

Disqualifications:

  • No relevant recent experience in call center or admin roles
  • No active internet connection (unless willing to work in-office)
  • Poor communication skills
  • Needing time off in the first 4 weeks

Work Environment:

Join a modern call center with a cube-style setup, dual monitors, and wired headsets. Enjoy a laid-back dress code (jeans and shirts acceptable) while maintaining professionalism. The facility is clean and lively, especially during peak call times. Employees report to a supervisor, supported by a manager and director. Breaks and lunch are permitted during an 8-hour shift.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
