Service Optimization Engineer I
POSITION PURPOSE: Responsible for enterprise level support, standards and best practices for identity access management (IAM) and IAM related services. These include Microsoft Azure Active Directory, Microsoft Active Directory, SailPoint IdentityNow, Certificate Services (PKI), M365 and CyberArk. The primary job responsibility of the Service Optimization Engineer I is to support and optimize financial, clinical, informational and infrastructure System/Platforms that provide business customers with optimally performing services. Additionally, a Service Optimization Engineer I collaborates with Product Engineering, Product Management and Enterprise Information Security to assure seamless transition of new products and designs to Service Optimization. The Service Optimization Engineer I serves as the operational subject matter expert, coordinating with other TIS Product Centric Organization teams; to support and optimize technology-based business solutions. This includes applications and infrastructure leveraging Trinity Enterprise Data Centers and Cloud resources (i.e., PaaS, IaaS and SaaS), serving as a platform specific technology support expert. Furthermore, the Service Optimization Engineer I serves in a lead and/or support role in the operation and optimization of platforms, products and applications within their respective teams as well as how those applications interface with other teams.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Responsible for enterprise level support, standards and best practices for identity access management (IAM) and IAM related services.
- Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge and understanding of PowerShell.
- Possess working knowledge of JSON, REST and API integrations and security.
- Knows, understands, incorporates, and demonstrates the Trinity Health Mission, Vision, and Values in behaviors, practices and decisions.
- Provides a high level of technical support of platform and product designs.
- Monitors and analyzes the current state of platforms to assure performance is within pre-determined thresholds.
- Collaborates with vendors and other teams in matters of products, troubleshooting, maintenance and documentation.
- Proposes procedures and solutions which assure the team is functioning at the highest possible level at the lowest possible cost.
- Implements platform technology in conjunction with established platform strategy.
- Identifies, escalates, and supports process improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency, reliability, and quality of service.
- Participates in research and makes recommendations on products, services, protocols and standards in support of all infrastructure procurement and development efforts.
- Minimizes operational and capital costs through the reduction of inefficiencies in the environment.
- Keeps abreast of current and best practices, participates in continuing education and seminars.
- Performs environment capacity planning and performance monitoring on all platform hardware.
- Serves as first level for troubleshooting and escalation of critical issues.
- Utilizes software and hardware tools to diagnose and resolve problems and factors affecting performance and service levels.
- Assures all hardware and software is performing at a fully optimized level.
- Participates in the development, implementation and testing of installs and upgrades to existing solutions.
- Participates in data migration and lifecycle projects.
- Participates in disaster recovery planning and exercises.
- Accountable for the security configuration of supported solutions and makes sure they are up to date.
- Responsible for supporting and translating architectural designs.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State and local laws/regulations, the Trinity Health Integrity and Compliance Program and Code of Conduct as well as other policies and procedures in order to assure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical and professional behavior.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or a related field with five (5) years' progressive experience, with expertise in hardware, software, application, and systems engineering within specific IT discipline.
- Ability to provide technical guidance and serve as a subject matter expert to team members.
- Comprehensive skills in technical documentation, DevOps and ITIL concepts.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms or software as a service application (SaaS applications).
- Knowledge of security concepts with hands-on experience in implementing security controls and compliance requirements.
- Must be comfortable operating in a collaborative, shared leadership environment.
- Must possess a personal presence that is characterized by a sense of honesty, integrity, and caring with the ability to inspire and motivate others to promote the philosophy, mission, vision, goals, and values of Trinity Health.
