Mission Point Resort in Mackinac Island, MI, seeks food and beverage service staffs for temporary, full-time employment from April 1, 2026, to November 16, 2026. Duties include performing a variety of activities to ensure a consistent and excellent dining experience for guests. Take food and drink orders from customers. Serve food and beverages. Ensure food and beverages being served to guests meet company standards for quality and appearance before they are served. Greet and seat customers. Present menu to customers and answer any questions. Ensure work area is cleaned prior to, during, and after service. Prepare hot, cold, or mixed drinks for patrons. Check to ensure patrons are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems. Set up tables/rooms before service and clear tables after service. Set up food and beverages on trays or buffets for service and deliver food to guests. Stock service areas with supplies and linens. Keep work areas clean including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and taking out the trash. Perform additional service duties as assigned. May perform other job duties pursuant to 35-3031.00, Waiters and Waitresses. Thirty-five hours per week. Seven plus hour shifts with a 30-minute unpaid break each shift; shifts vary based on venue and may be any time between 5:30 am and 1:00 am. Five days per week, Sun-Sat. May work evenings, weekends, holidays, as needed. Schedule (including workdays) may vary. May work more than the guaranteed hours. May work overtime. OT varies. No formal education, training, or experience required. On-the-job training will be provided. Must be available to work dates of employment and hours/shifts stated in job listing. Must be able to walk, stand, and move for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift, push, and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. Must be able to bend, kneel, and reach. Must be able to speak and understand English. $18.32 per hour; O/T $27.48 per hour. Workers will be paid no less than the wage listed. Employer may pay higher wage rates to workers based on seniority with employer and level of skill. Overtime hours may vary. D & S North, LLC, dba Mission Point Resort utilizes the tip credit provision outlined in the Act. Wage is the required state minimum wage per hour for regular hours and overtime is 1.5 times this wage. Mission Point Resort will claim a maximum tip credit pursuant to state and federal law. The actual hourly rate earned (computed as a combination of tips received and base hourly rate) will be no less than the $18.32 per hour for regular hours and $27.48 per hour for overtime. This calculation shall be performed on a weekly basis. Bonus available for full completion of agreed upon employment period. In accordance with applicable Michigan state law, Earned Sick Time Act 338, employers are required to provide earned sick time to their employees. The amount of paid sick leave provided may vary depending on the size of the business.
